The Commonwealth Soccer Classic will be taking place on the University of Massachusetts’ campus. This tournament, which will take place annually from here on out, has been organized by the University’s soccer team; a Division Ⅰ organization whose program has boasted incredible players and coaches over the years.
The tournament is scheduled for May 25th-26th, and the games will take place on some of the University’s top fields. This includes Rudd Field—home field to both the Men’s and Women’s teams—and McGuirk Stadium, home to the Minutemen football team.
Our tournament includes boys and girls ages U9 through U14, inviting both club and town teams to participate. The town and club teams will be separated to ensure a level playing field throughout the tournament. Each team, regardless of skill or record, will be guaranteed 4 games on Saturday and Sunday, making for 2 action-packed days of play.
We understand that there are plenty of competitive tournament options during Memorial Day Weekend. The Commonwealth Soccer Classic offers a unique chance for your team to experience the college-level atmosphere while competing on NCAA-standard fields. Additionally, the tournament is a cost-friendly tournament offering considerably lower prices than competing tournaments in the Massachusetts area. Lastly, since the Commonwealth Soccer Classic is a brand new organization, the program will be introducing and testing unique ways to improve for the future. Off the field, you can expect exciting activities that will make the Commonwealth Soccer Classic more than a tournament.
